About the job Senior Quantity Surveyor
Responsibilities:
Experienced in handling post-contract administration, including monitoring project costs and ensuring contractual compliance.
Prepare and manage claims, variation orders, final accounts, and ensure timely settlement and sub-contractor payments in line with project progress.
Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and sub-contractors for price and scope comparison.
Assess and recommend suitable sub-contractors based on pricing, capability, and project requirements.
Conduct quantity take-offs and measurements for progress claims, procurement, and reporting purposes.
Review and verify sub-contractor claims to ensure accuracy, proper documentation, and compliance with contract terms.
Ensure all submitted documents are comprehensive, accurate, and in accordance with contract policies and procedures.
Provide support and input on contractual matters, including basic advice on claims and variation entitlements.
Analyse project progress and prepare clear, detailed reports to support cost tracking and decision-making.
Value completed work on-site and coordinate payment processing in accordance with contract milestones.
Identify and raise any commercial or contractual issues to the project team and assist in resolving them efficiently.
Prepare and update monthly reports, including project budgets and cash flow projections for internal monitoring.
Carry out any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the superior in support of project and contract operations.
Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Quantity Survey or equivalent.
Candidates must have experience in high-rise project such as residential, hotel, office tower, etc.
Able to communicate in Mandarin will be an advantage as need to deal with China expatriates or workers.
At least 5 years of relevant Main Construction experience (mainly in Post-Contract).
Be able to work independently with minimum guidance and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
